Pick up a copy of the book at Little Pop Color Shop. Bring new or gently used mittens to the Stone Horse Green to donate to the 'Keeping Neighbors Warm' clothing drive, or drop off gently used wool sweaters at Longtable Beer Cafe for ReMitts to upcycle into new woolen mittens, and receive $2 off any beverage. At 10:00 am the Middleton Area Historical Society will hold its annual meeting at the Senior Center with a talk by local author Peggy Marxen about her book 'The Farm on Badger Creek - Memories of a Midwest Girlhood'. From 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm DG Beauty Salon celebrates its 4th Anniversary open house with champagne, hors d'oeuvres, live music from Mongolian guitarist Morin Huur and fabulous giveaways. At the Stone Horse Green, at 5:15 pm mayor Gurdip Brar will kick off off the Lighting festivities; at 5:20 pm local trombone ensemble the 'Beltline Bones' will play holiday favorites, and at 5:30 pm Santa and Mrs. Claus will light the green. Stay for photos with Santa and at the Window Stroll face-in-the-hole board, carry-out beverages and snacks around the fire cauldron, and dinner at your favorite local restaurant.
Airport: Public health official describes Middleton Town Board's demand as 'unethical'
Could the Town of Middleton's fearmongering in matters of lead emission from airplanes at Middleton Morey Airport undermine trust in public health officials and public health? And could an immediate ban on leaded aviation fuel, as demanded by the Middleton Town Board, lead to increased risk of exposure to lead for children in Dane county as well as - paradoxically - Middleton itself? The answer seems to be yes.
