Business spotlight: Cloth & Metal Boutique
In 2019, Lisa McGuire combined her love for fashion and for designing and creating jewelry, and opened Cloth & Metal Boutique on Parmenter Street in Middleton. Support from the community was so great, however, that she was able to expand to a new location in 2021 (the current location just around the corner on Hubbard Avenue). When people step into Cloth & Metal, they find a warm, dog-friendly, welcoming space filled with stylish, high-quality clothing, and handmade jewelry and candles. Lisa and her staff are dedicated to helping women find their style, and feel confident in the way they look, no matter the occasion: They want you to love your closet again. Committed to providing both quality and sustainable products, Cloth & Metal hand-selects clothing and materials made locally and nationally with a specific focus on conservation. When you’re in the store, you’ll notice that the hangers look different, made solely from recycled, 100% non-toxic paper and cardboard - just one example of the many efforts they make to maintain an environmentally conscious establishment. They only use brands that are made in the U.S. and follow sustainable practices. In addition, Cloth & Metal advocates for advancing women through several efforts, one of which includes being a sponsor for the UW Carbone Cancer Center.
