Business spotlight: Village Green
The Village Green is a family-friendly neighborhood bar and grill that has been owned and operated by the Boyer family since 1976, although its history as a bar and bowling alley goes back much further. It is rightly famous for its burgers, especially its double cheeseburgers (special on Saturdays). The menu also includes many other favorites, like the Village Green Reuben (smoked brat instead of corned beef), and a shaved ham and cheese sandwich. Sloppy Joes are the popular Wednesday special, and on Fridays it is, of course, the Tavern Fish Fry. An early-bird special gets you a $4 hamburger Tuesday through Friday between 11:00 and noon. The rotating tap list offers a nice selection of brews for all tastes. Besides the quality of its burgers, the Village Green can pride itself on its staff and the friendliness and promptness of its service. The Village Green is located next to the Stone Horse Green - ideal for take-out.
Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 11:00 am to close.
