Downtown road construction
Road construction in downtown Middleton is getting near to the end. On Monday and Tuesday (when these pictures were taken) crews were paving Parmenter Street, with the segment south of the railroad tracks being paved completely, and the rest receiving its first coat. Many details still remain to be finished, including signage and completing the so-called 'pedestrian refuge island' at the intersection with Terrace Avenue. The latter was installed as a symbolic gesture towards pedestrian safety.
