Calls for increased pedestrian safety are getting louder
At its Monday, February 12, meeting, the City of Middleton Public Works Committee heard from several parents of Kromrey students who are concerned about pedestrian safety, especially at the intersection of Century Avenue and Park Street/High Road. Recently, a boy crossing Century Avenue on his way to school was hit in the crosswalk by a car turning right onto Century Avenue from High Road. The boy was not seriously hurt, but the motorist fled the scene. According to the parents, that incident was not a one-off, but is part of an on-going problem.
