Century Avenue bridge: reconstruction details revealed
During a public information meeting at Kromrey Middle School on Thursday, February 22 (pictured above), representatives from the Middleton Public Works Department, the Dane County Highway and Transportation Department and consulting engineers Strand Associates, provided first details about the reconstruction of the Pheasant Branch Creek bridge on Century Avenue. The bridge and the approaches (Century Avenue from east and west) will be rebuilt within existing right-of-way. The biggest changes will be for pedestrians and bicyclists using the Creek Corridor Trail, which will be continued north under the bridge (the current connection to Century will remain in place, too - see illustration below). The North Mendota Trail is going to be extended west to Stagecoach Trail.
